MBX-2044 is our follow-on compound to MBX-102, and like MBX-102, it is being developed as an effective insulin sensitizer that is not associated with edema
or weight gain.
Results from a completed Phase 2a study of MBX-2044 showed it to be safe and well-tolerated across a broad dose range. We believe MBX-2044 has a similar profile to MBX-102 but is more potent. As a result, MBX-2044 may produce the same efficacy as MBX-102 at a lower dose.
