Metabolex has maintained a focus on type 2 diabetes and other metabolic diseases, making it one of the most experienced biotechnology companies in the space. To help move our product candidates from the bench to the bedside, we have partnered with some of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies. Among the companies now working with our proprietary targets and compounds:

Johnson & Johnson: We have entered into an exclusive worldwide license with Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals (a Johnson & Johnson company) to develop and commercialize several products from our preclinical programs. We received an upfront payment and are eligible to receive development, regulatory, and commercial milestones and royalties on worldwide sales. Please click here for more information.
Pfizer: Using our proprietary database of human genes associated with insulin secretion and pancreatic beta cell health, we identified a series of drug development targets. Pfizer is now in the process of screening a number of those targets, and developing product candidates optimized from such screens. We are entitled to downstream revenue, including royalties, from resulting programs without any further financial commitment.
Takeda: Metabolex has identified protein targets that may lead to biologic products. These targets were identified through our proprietary database of human genes involved in metabolic diseases. Metabolex is collaborating with Takeda on the evaluation and validation of these targets. Please click here for more information.
