Dr. Lange has 22 years' experience in academic
medicine at Harvard University and Washington
University, where he served as Chief of
Cardiology and Professor of Medicine at Jewish
Hospital from 1985-1992 and was one of the first
academicians in molecular cardiology. Most
recently, Dr. Lange founded CV Therapeutics, Inc.
in 1992, where he served as Chairman, CEO and
Chief Scientific Officer, overseeing the
successful commercialization of a product
portfolio solely focused on cardiovascular
health. Dr. Lange led the company's success
through its sale in 2009 to Gilead Sciences. Dr.
Lange has served as a trustee on the University
of Rochester Board of Trustees since 1998 and
from 1999 to 2009 he served on the Biotechnology
Industry Organization (BIO) Board of Directors.
In addition, he is on the Board of Directors of
the Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle, WA;
is the Chairman of the Board of CardioDX and also
sits on the Boards of Maxygen and Synecor. Dr.
Lange holds an M.D. from Harvard Medical School
and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Harvard
University.

Bradley Bolzon, Ph.D.

Dr. Bolzon currently is a Managing Director of
Versant Ventures, a venture capital firm
specializing in early stage Biotech investments.
Prior to joining Versant, he served as Executive
Vice President at F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd.,
where he directed business development strategy,
product licensing, company acquisitions, and
R&D alliances. Previously, Dr. Bolzon held
executive roles at Eli Lilly and Company. He
currently serves as a board member for Anaphore,
Inc., Flexion Therapeutics, and serves as
Chairman of the Board of Synosia Therapeutics and
Amira Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Bolzon is also
Chairman of EuroVentures Inc., a wholly-owned
start-up incubator of Versant Ventures. He
received Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Pharmacology
from the University of Toronto, and conducted his
post-doctoral research training at the Ottawa
Heart Institute in Ottawa, Canada.

Mr. Converse has been involved with Nedamco Capital, a privately-held, international investment company, since 2002. He has over 20 years of hands-on management experience working with young, growing companies. He represented Nedamco Capital's interest as CEO of Oblicore, which was subsequently acquired by CA Technologies. Prior to joining Nedamco Capital, Mr. Converse was CEO of Oneswoop.com which was acquired by Norwich Union Consumer Products (Aviva). Earlier in his career, Mr. Converse worked for Nedamco North America Corporation, a US-based global technology development company, where he lead the development of new markets (primarily India and China) and played an active role in its successful sale. Mr. Converse received his B.S. degree from Michigan State University.

Anthony B. Evnin, Ph.D.

Dr. Evnin joined Venrock in 1974 and built the
firm's healthcare franchise, helping to shape the
modern biotechnology industry. He started his
career as a research scientist at Union Carbide
and as director of product development at Story
Chemical. More than 29 of his investments have
been through an initial public offering during
his Venrock tenure. Dr. Evnin serves as a Trustee
Emeritus of Princeton University and as a trustee
of The Rockefeller University. Dr. Evnin is
focused on building valuable companies that
address important medical needs of the world,
while providing strong returns for investors. Dr.
Evnin currently is the Chairman of the Board of
Boston Power and serves on the boards of
Acceleron Pharma, Altea Therapeutics, AVEO
Pharmaceuticals, Celladon, Constellation
Pharmaceuticals, Icagen, Infinity
Pharmaceuticals, and Pharmos Corporation, all
Venrock investments.

Carl Goldfischer, M.D.

Dr. Goldfischer is an investment partner and
managing director of Bay City Capital, serving as
a member of the board of directors and executive
committee, and has been with the firm since
December 2000. His background includes extensive
public and private investment and transaction
work, as well as clinical trial development
knowledge. Prior to joining Bay City Capital, Dr.
Goldfischer was chief financial officer of
ImClone Systems. Previously, he was a research
analyst with the Reliance Insurance Company,
helping to establish its portfolio and presence
in the health care investment community. Dr.
Goldfischer is a member of the board of directors
for BrainCells, EnteroMedics, Epizyme, MAP
Pharmaceuticals, Poniard Pharmaceuticals, and PTC
Therapeutics. He is also a member of the board of
trustees of Mt. Zion Hospital. Dr. Goldfischer
received an M.D. with honors in scientific
research from Albert Einstein College of Medicine
and a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College.

Dr. Penhoet joined Alta Partners, a venture capital firm, as a Director in August 2000. Dr. Penhoet is currently a member of the President's Council of Advisors for Science and Technology (PCAST). Dr. Penhoet was a member of the Independent Citizens Oversight Committee of the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine where he served as the Vice Chairman from 2004 until 2008. From July 1998 until July 2002, Dr. Penhoet served as the Dean of the School of Public Health and as a Professor of Public Health and of Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Penhoet was a co-founder of the Chiron Corporation, a biotechnology company, where he served as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director from its formation in 1981 until April 1998. From 1971 until 1981, Dr. Penhoet was a faculty member of the Biochemistry Department at the University of California, Berkeley. From 2004 until 2008, Dr. Penhoet served as President of the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. Dr. Penhoet is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences and The American Academy of Arts & Sciences. Dr. Penhoet received a B.A. in Biology from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Washington. Dr. Penhoet currently serves on the board of directors of several private biotechnology companies.

Harold E. Van Wart, Ph.D.

Dr. Van Wart currently serves as Metabolex,
Inc.'s Chief Executive Officer, a member of the
Board of Directors since January 2003, and
President since April 2001. He served as chief
operating officer from December 2002 to January
2003 and senior vice president, research and
development from October 2000 to December 2002.
From 1999 to 2000, Dr. Van Wart was vice
president and therapy head for arthritis and
fibrotic diseases at Roche Biosciences, a
biopharmaceutical company. From 1992 to 1999, he
was vice president and director of the institute
of biochemistry and cell biology at Syntex
Corporation, a biopharmaceutical company acquired
by Roche Biosciences in 1994. From 1978 to 1992,
Dr. Van Wart served on the faculty of Florida
State University. Dr. Van Wart obtained his Ph.D.
from Cornell University. He currently serves on
the Emerging Companies and Health Section
Governing Boards of the Biotechnology Industry
Organization, as well as on its Board of
Directors. He is also a Director of Conatus
Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Dr. Zerbe is the Chief Executive Officer,
Director and co-founder of QuatRx
Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Dr. Zerbe has extensive
experience in global clinical development and
regulatory affairs. From 1982 to 2000, he held
a variety of research and development
positions, including managing director, Lilly
Research Center U.K., senior vice president of
worldwide clinical research and development at
Parke Davis, and senior vice president for
Pfizer global research and development. Dr.
Zerbe earned his medical degree at Indiana
University in 1975, and completed his
post-doctoral work in internal medicine,
endocrinology, and neuroendocrinology at
Indiana and the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Zerbe currently serves on the boards of AP
Pharma, Aastrom Biosciences, Anesiva
Pharmaceuticals, and the Biotechnology Industry
Organization Emerging Section Governing Body.
