Metabolex is working to commercialize best-in-class treatments for type 2 diabetes, including the novel insulin sensitizers MBX-102 in Phase 2 development, and MBX-2044, which has completed a Phase 2a trial. MBX-2982, a compound that targets the G-protein coupled receptor-119 (GPR-119) to stimulate glucose-sensitive insulin secretion, is in phase 1 clinical development.
